Who Is in Charge? — From the Straight-Line Journey of Man to the Great Order and Perfect Balance

The human being may choose his steps, but he does not create the road, the laws governing it, or the consequences of walking against reality.

A man may command his hands, direct his thoughts, choose his words, alter his habits, and determine the next step he takes.

But can he command Truth?

Can he suspend cause and effect?

Can he redefine Life merely because he prefers another definition?

Can he create Reality by believing strongly enough?

And if the road of human existence leads through a greater structure that existed before our arrival and will remain after our departure, then a deeper question must be asked:

Who is actually in charge?

The answer depends upon what kind of authority we are talking about.

This article examines the question of authority within the DSPES framework: the relationship between the Eternal Source, the Great Order of Reality, the Seven Pillars, human freedom, personal responsibility, consequence, and the straight-line journey of one earthly lifetime.

It distinguishes ultimate authority from personal agency.

The human person does not create Reality, Truth, natural order, mortality, or consequence. Yet neither is the person portrayed as an insignificant passenger. Within the measurable boundaries of earthly life, each person possesses a genuine sphere of responsibility.

DSPES therefore proposes neither absolute human sovereignty nor passive fatalism.

It proposes:

responsible human agency under objective order.

Who governs human life? DSPES examines personal agency, the Seven Pillars, the Great Order, and the meaning of perfect balance.

Human beings have always asked questions of authority.

Who governs nations?

Who governs families?

Who governs the body?

Who governs thought?

Who determines right and wrong?

Who determines the purpose of life?

But underneath these questions stands something deeper:

Who governs Reality itself?

The Doctrine of the Seven Pillars of the Eternal Source does not begin by declaring that the human mind possesses a complete explanation of existence.

It begins more carefully.

It begins with the world actually confronting us.

There is Reality.

There is human perception of Reality.

There is evidence by which perception may be tested.

There are choices.

There are consequences.

There are limits.

There is mortality.

And there are recurring structural principles through which human claims and conduct may be examined.

DSPES identifies these governing standards as the Seven Pillars:

Truth.
Light.
Love.
Power.
Creation.
Wisdom.
Life.

These Pillars are not seven disconnected ideals.

They belong to one integrated order.

Truth without Love may become merciless.

Love detached from Truth may become sentimentality.

Power separated from Wisdom becomes domination.

Wisdom detached from Reality becomes speculation.

Creation without respect for limits becomes destruction.

Life without responsibility becomes exploitation.

Light without Truth becomes misinformation dressed as enlightenment.

Thus the Seven must function together.

This integrated relationship is what DSPES calls part of the Great Order of Reality.

The question, therefore, is not simply whether man possesses freedom.

He plainly possesses some measure of choice.

The deeper question is:

What is the proper place of human freedom inside an order that man did not create?

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Eternal Source

Within DSPES, the Eternal Source refers to the ultimate Cause and Origin of existence.

DSPES distinguishes this foundational proposition from claims that human beings presently possess exhaustive knowledge of the Source's complete nature, operation, or purposes.

Great Order of Reality

The Great Order refers to the integrated structure within which existence, law, cause, consequence, relationship, life, limitation, and intelligibility operate.

It is not merely a governmental system or religious organization.

It is the larger objective order to which human thought must correspond.

Straight-Line Journey

The Straight-Line Journey describes the measurable human journey through one earthly lifetime.

It proceeds from entry into earthly life, through growth, experience, responsibility, decision, character formation, consequence, and mortality.

DSPES does not require unverifiable cycles of repeated personalities in order to establish the responsibility of the present person.

The life presently being lived is the life presently accountable.

Human Agency

Human agency is the capacity to choose, judge, act, refrain from acting, learn, correct, cooperate, resist, create, damage, repair, speak, remain silent, and bear responsibility within human limits.

Agency is real.

It is not unlimited.

Authority

Authority means legitimate power or jurisdiction.

DSPES distinguishes different levels of authority.

The authority to choose one's conduct is not equivalent to authority over Reality itself.

Perfect Balance

Perfect Balance does not mean maintaining equal quantities of opposing forces such as truth and falsehood, love and hatred, knowledge and ignorance, or life and destruction.

A perfectly balanced scale is not achieved by placing poison on one side and medicine on the other merely so that both weigh the same.

Within DSPES, balance means right relationship, right proportion, right order, and coherent integration among legitimate principles.

Alignment

Alignment means correspondence between human understanding, conduct, and the governing structure of Reality as far as that structure can reasonably be known.

Progressive Disclosure

The Principle of Progressive Disclosure, also called the Fragmentary Knowledge Principle, recognizes that human knowledge may be real without being complete.

What is known today may be valid within its evidentiary scope while still belonging to a greater Reality not yet fully understood.

Therefore:

partial knowledge does not justify invented certainty.

I. THE QUESTION CONTAINS MORE THAN ONE KIND OF AUTHORITY

When we ask, “Who is in charge?”, several different questions may be hidden inside the sentence.

Who caused existence?

Who governs the structure of Reality?

Who determines the laws under which human beings exist?

Who chooses my next action?

Who bears responsibility for that action?

Who determines its consequences?

Confusion begins when these different levels are merged.

DSPES therefore makes a fundamental distinction:

Ultimate authority is not the same thing as immediate human agency.

A sailor may steer his vessel.

He does not command the ocean.

A farmer may choose when to plant.

He does not repeal the biological requirements of the seed.

A person may choose to jump from a height.

He does not vote on gravity while falling.

Freedom operates within Reality, not outside it.

II. THE DSPES HIERARCHY OF ORDER

The established DSPES hierarchy may be stated as:

Eternal Source → Great Order → Seven Major Laws → Relevant Minor Laws → Evidence → Human Judgment → Choice → Consequence

This hierarchy helps prevent two opposite errors.

The first error is fatalism:

Everything is controlled; therefore human responsibility is meaningless.

The second error is absolute self-sovereignty:

I determine my own truth; therefore Reality must conform to me.

DSPES accepts neither position.

The human being is neither a puppet nor the creator of Reality.

He is a responsible participant.

III. THE ETERNAL SOURCE: ULTIMATE ORIGIN IS NOT HUMAN MICROMANAGEMENT

Within DSPES, the Eternal Source stands as the ultimate origin of existence.

But it does not logically follow that every human action must therefore be individually compelled.

There is a difference between establishing an order and eliminating all secondary agency within that order.

The existence of law does not eliminate choice.

It establishes the conditions within which choice acquires meaning.

A moral decision matters precisely because alternatives exist.

Responsibility matters because conduct has consequences.

Correction matters because error is possible.

Growth matters because completion has not yet been reached.

The Great Order therefore need not be imagined as a hand manipulating every movement of every person.

It may instead be understood as the governing structure within which genuine human responsibility becomes possible.

IV. MAN IS NOT IN CHARGE OF REALITY

Human beings possess enormous creative capacity.

We build cities.

We write constitutions.

We develop technology.

We compose music.

We preserve history.

We formulate philosophies.

We construct religious systems.

We create scientific models.

But none of these accomplishments gives humanity jurisdiction over Reality itself.

A proposition does not become true because a majority accepts it.

An ancient statement does not become true merely because it is ancient.

A modern statement does not become true merely because it is modern.

A religious statement does not become true merely because it is sacred to believers.

A scientific hypothesis does not become true merely because it sounds technical.

An extraterrestrial claim does not become true merely because its alleged source is advanced.

And a personal conviction does not become objective truth merely because it feels internally certain.

This is why DSPES insists:

Truth is measured, not invented.

V. YET MAN IS IN CHARGE OF SOMETHING

To deny absolute human sovereignty does not require denying human authority altogether.

Within the measurable human sphere, the individual governs something extremely important:

his response to Reality.

He may seek evidence or avoid it.

He may speak truth or conceal it.

He may develop understanding or protect ignorance.

He may exercise compassion or cruelty.

He may use power responsibly or coercively.

He may preserve creation or exploit it.

He may seek wisdom or repeat folly.

He may protect life or damage it.

This is where responsibility resides.

A person may not control the entire road.

But he chooses how he walks it.

VI. THE STRAIGHT-LINE JOURNEY

DSPES describes earthly human existence as a straight-line journey because our immediately measurable personal experience moves in one direction.

Birth does not repeat.

Childhood does not restart.

Yesterday cannot be physically revisited.

Time spent cannot be recovered.

A spoken word cannot be literally unsaid.

Some consequences may be repaired, forgiven, or overcome, but history itself remains history.

The journey therefore carries urgency.

Each stage becomes part of the life that has actually been lived.

This principle protects human responsibility from being postponed into speculative future lifetimes.

The present person cannot safely reason:

“Whatever I fail to learn now can simply be repaired in another personality thousands of years later.”

DSPES begins within the perimeter we can presently examine.

**This life is real.

This decision is real.
This consequence is real.
This responsibility is present.**

Whatever greater Reality may exist beyond mortality must be approached with disciplined humility rather than invented detail.

VII. THE KINDERGARTEN MODEL

The straight-line journey may be understood through the DSPES Kindergarten Model.

Earthly life is the present classroom.

Reality is the textbook.

The Seven Pillars are governing standards.

Evidence supplies lesson material.

Reason and verification examine claims.

Experience supplies exercises.

Choices reveal the student's response.

Consequences provide correction.

Character shows what has actually been learned.

Within this analogy, the student does not own the school.

He did not write the laws governing Reality.

Yet his participation is real.

No teacher can honestly take the student's examination for him and still call the result the student's achievement.

Responsibility therefore belongs to the learner.

VIII. WHO, THEN, IS THE TRAVELER?

The traveler is not merely the physical road.

The traveler is not merely the laws governing the road.

The traveler is not merely the destination.

The traveler is the living human person presently undergoing experience, making choices, forming character, and bearing consequence.

DSPES therefore begins its examination with the observable human being rather than with an unverifiable metaphysical substitute.

Questions concerning soul, spirit, consciousness, spirit-form, or continued identity beyond mortality remain legitimate subjects of investigation.

But none should be permitted to erase the person actually living today.

If the present person loves, suffers, learns, sacrifices, chooses, remembers, hopes, builds relationships, accepts responsibility, and eventually dies, then any theory of personal continuation must explain what becomes of that first-person subject.

It cannot simply replace him with another entity and still assume that personal continuity has been demonstrated.

IX. THE SEVEN PILLARS AS GOVERNING STANDARDS

The Seven Pillars answer the question “Who is in charge?” in another way.

They establish what human freedom cannot legitimately ignore.

1. TRUTH

Truth governs correspondence with Reality.

Relevant Minor Laws include:

Reality, Correspondence, Evidence, Consistency, Causality, Non-Contradiction, Honest Testimony, Verification, Consequence, and Accountability.

Human opinion cannot overturn contradiction.

2. LIGHT

Light governs the movement from obscurity toward understanding.

Its Minor Laws include:

Revelation, Understanding, Knowledge, Discernment, Transparency, Communication, Instruction, Discovery, Clarity, and Exposure.

Authority that depends upon permanent concealment must therefore be examined carefully.

3. LOVE

Love governs right relationship.

Its Minor Laws include:

Compassion, Mercy, Justice, Relationship, Mutual Care, Forgiveness, Faithfulness, Service, Neighborly Responsibility, and Peace.

Love does not abolish Truth.

It determines how Truth should be lived toward others.

4. POWER

Power governs legitimate capacity and authority.

Its Minor Laws include:

Authority, Responsibility, Consent, Stewardship, Proportionality, Non-Coercion, Self-Mastery, Just Use of Force, Accountability in Power, and Subsidiarity.

The first proper government of Power is therefore often self-government.

5. CREATION

Creation governs the structure and order observable within existence.

Its Minor Laws include:

Nature, Design, Cause-and-Effect in Nature, Growth, Order, Balance, Limits, Interdependence, Sustainability, and Regeneration.

Human beings may work with these realities.

They do not become their authors simply by discovering them.

6. WISDOM

Wisdom governs the proper application of knowledge.

Its Minor Laws include:

Prudence, Ends and Means, Coherence, Sound Judgment, Long-Term Consequence, Teachability, Correctability, Proportion, Silence and Speech, and Tested Knowledge.

Knowing something is not equivalent to knowing what should be done with it.

7. LIFE

Life governs the protection and responsible continuation of living existence.

Its Minor Laws include:

Dignity, Non-Harm, Preservation, Health, Restoration, Community, Generational Duty, Responsibility for the Weak, Continuity, and Mortality and Limits.

Human freedom therefore operates within obligations toward other life.

X. ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE

No Pillar rules independently of the others.

This is one of the most important features of the DSPES structure.

Power must answer to Truth.

Truth must operate with Love.

Love must remain illuminated by Wisdom.

Wisdom must respect Creation.

Creation must sustain Life.

Life must remain grounded in Truth.

Light must expose distortion in every Pillar.

Thus:

One for all, and all for one.

The authority of the Seven Pillars is integrated.

A conclusion that satisfies one Pillar while seriously violating several others cannot easily be called aligned with the Great Order.

XI. WHAT IS PERFECT BALANCE?

The phrase Perfect Balance requires careful definition.

Balance is often misunderstood as the equal presence of opposites.

But some opposites are not equal partners.

Truth does not require an equal quantity of falsehood.

Knowledge does not require an equal quantity of ignorance.

Compassion does not require an equal quantity of cruelty.

Life does not require equal preservation and destruction.

Perfect Balance therefore cannot mean maintaining fifty percent alignment and fifty percent violation.

Within DSPES, Perfect Balance means that each legitimate principle occupies its proper place within the whole.

Consider the human body.

Health does not mean possessing equal quantities of oxygen and poison.

It means systems operating in proper proportion and relationship.

Likewise, the Great Order is not balance through contradiction.

It is balance through coherence.

XII. PERFECT BALANCE IS NOT HUMAN PERFECTION

Another distinction is necessary.

The existence of a perfect standard does not require the claim that human beings have already perfectly attained it.

Human knowledge remains fragmentary.

Human perception remains vulnerable to error.

Human character remains correctable.

Human societies remain unfinished.

DSPES therefore distinguishes:

Perfect Order as standard

from

progressive human alignment with that order.

The traveler may move toward greater coherence without claiming omniscience.

XIII. THE PRINCIPLE OF PROGRESSIVE DISCLOSURE

Humanity repeatedly discovers that Reality is larger than its previous understanding.

A child knows something real about the world.

An adult knows more.

A scientist may know much more about a specialized field.

But greater knowledge does not make the earlier valid observation automatically false.

This produces an important epistemological principle:

Knowledge may be genuine without being exhaustive.

DSPES therefore rejects two extremes.

The first is:

“We do not know everything, therefore we know nothing.”

The second is:

“We know something, therefore our entire system must be complete.”

Both fail.

Responsible knowledge identifies its boundaries.

XIV. WHO DECIDES WHEN TRUTH IS FINAL?

No individual becomes the creator of Truth by declaring an investigation closed.

Not a priest.

Not a philosopher.

Not a scientist.

Not a prophet.

Not a government.

Not an extraterrestrial teacher.

Not DSPES itself.

DSPES must remain examinable under its own standards.

Its propositions must survive evidence, correspondence, non-contradiction, consequence, coherence, and continued examination.

If a DSPES formulation contradicts Reality, the formulation must be corrected.

Reality is not required to change in order to preserve DSPES.

This is essential.

The measuring instrument must itself remain measurable.

XV. FREEDOM WITHIN BOUNDARIES

Human freedom is therefore neither illusion nor infinity.

We possess freedom within boundaries.

A musician is free to compose within the realities of sound.

An architect is free to design within the realities of structure.

A driver is free to steer within the realities of the road.

A human being is free to choose within the realities of existence.

Boundaries do not necessarily destroy meaningful freedom.

They make meaningful action possible.

XVI. CONSEQUENCE: THE SILENT GOVERNOR

One of the most powerful authorities within the Great Order is consequence.

Reality often corrects human error without argument.

Ignore health repeatedly, and the body may respond.

Ignore structural engineering, and the building may fail.

Ignore trust, and relationships may collapse.

Ignore evidence, and decisions may become increasingly detached from Reality.

Ignore limits, and systems eventually encounter them.

Consequence therefore functions as feedback.

It does not always arrive immediately.

It does not always appear proportionate from the perspective of a single moment.

But the existence of consequence means freedom cannot be separated from responsibility.

XVII. SELF-MASTERY: THE FIRST HUMAN GOVERNMENT

If a human being asks, “What am I actually authorized to govern?” the first answer is not the universe.

It is oneself.

Thought.

Speech.

Impulse.

Conduct.

Habits.

Attention.

Response.

Use of power.

Treatment of others.

Willingness to learn.

Willingness to correct.

This is the DSPES Minor Law of Self-Mastery under the Pillar of Power.

A person attempting to control everyone else while remaining unable to govern himself demonstrates power without order.

The first kingdom entrusted to man is the inner one.

XVIII. AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Power without accountability becomes dangerous.

This applies to governments, religious leaders, teachers, scientists, organizations, parents, social movements, philosophers, and claimants of extraordinary knowledge.

The more authority a person claims, the greater the need for examination.

A claim of higher knowledge should not receive less scrutiny because it claims a superior source.

It should receive greater scrutiny because the consequences of error become greater.

DSPES therefore asks:

What exactly is being claimed?

What evidence supports it?

Can it be independently examined?

Does it contradict established reality?

Does it require special pleading?

What happens when the claim fails?

Can the system correct itself?

These are not acts of disrespect.

They are acts of responsibility.

XIX. THE GREAT ORDER DOES NOT REQUIRE BLIND OBEDIENCE

Order should not be confused with authoritarianism.

Blind obedience may preserve a system while destroying Truth.

The Great Order, as understood through DSPES, requires alignment with Reality rather than unconditional loyalty to human authority.

This distinction appears repeatedly in Scripture.

Deuteronomy 30:19 places life and death before the human being and commands a choice toward life.

Micah 6:8 emphasizes justice, mercy, and humble conduct.

Matthew 7:16 teaches that claims may be examined through their fruits.

John 8:31–32 connects continued adherence to truth with genuine freedom.

James 1:22 requires action rather than hearing alone.

These texts preserve human responsibility rather than eliminating it.

XX. THE HUMAN PERSON AS STEWARD, NOT OWNER

Perhaps the most accurate DSPES description of humanity's position is stewardship.

The steward possesses genuine authority.

But his authority is delegated and limited.

He manages what he did not ultimately create.

He works within laws he did not originate.

He inherits conditions created before his arrival.

He leaves consequences for generations arriving afterward.

This understanding creates both dignity and humility.

Man matters.

But man is not the center of Reality.

XXI. FROM PERSONAL ORDER TO GREAT ORDER

The Great Order is not approached first by controlling distant cosmic processes.

It begins much closer.

Truth in speech.

Clarity in thought.

Love in relationship.

Self-control in power.

Respect for Creation.

Wisdom in judgment.

Protection of Life.

The road toward Great Order therefore begins with ordinary acts.

The cosmic question becomes practical.

Can the traveler bring his own life into increasing alignment with the structure he claims to understand?

That is measurable.

XXII. DSPES EVIDENCE FINDINGS

Within the measurable human sphere, several findings are strongly supported.

Human beings possess meaningful but limited agency.

Human choices produce consequences.

Knowledge is incomplete and correctable.

Reality does not automatically conform to preference.

Natural and moral decisions frequently display cause-and-effect relationships.

Human flourishing depends upon relationships among truth, knowledge, responsibility, justice, restraint, wisdom, and preservation of life.

The stronger metaphysical questions—such as the complete structure beyond death, the ultimate mechanics of consciousness, or the total architecture of existence—remain less accessible to direct verification.

DSPES therefore separates what is presently supported from what remains open.

XXIII. SEVEN-PILLAR JUDGMENT

Truth — SATISFIED

The framework recognizes that Reality precedes human interpretation and requires correspondence rather than invention.

Light — SUPPORTED

It encourages knowledge, examination, clarity, disclosure, and correction.

Love — SATISFIED

Human agency is placed within responsibility toward others rather than isolated self-interest.

Power — SATISFIED

Authority is distinguished from domination, and self-mastery is placed before control of others.

Creation — SUPPORTED

Humanity is understood as operating within natural limits, order, causality, growth, and interdependence.

Wisdom — SATISFIED

Knowledge is subjected to proportion, correction, consequence, and long-term judgment.

Life — SATISFIED

Human responsibility culminates in dignity, preservation, restoration, community, and generational duty.

XXIV. CORRECTED DSPES FORMULATION

The question “Who is in charge?” should therefore not receive a one-word answer.

The more precise DSPES formulation is:

The Eternal Source is affirmed as the ultimate Origin and Cause of existence; the Great Order describes the objective structure within which existence operates; the Seven Pillars express governing standards by which human claims and conduct may be examined; and the human person exercises genuine but limited agency over his own choices, actions, character, and stewardship within that order. Human freedom does not create Reality, but determines how the traveler responds to Reality. Perfect Balance is not equality between truth and falsehood or good and evil, but the proper integration, proportion, and harmony of legitimate principles within the Great Order.

XXV. SOURCE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

This article is a DSPES analytical formulation and should not be confused with a quotation from another religious, philosophical, scientific, or extraterrestrial teaching.

Its central structure arises from the Doctrine of the Seven Pillars of the Eternal Source, including the Seven Major Laws, their associated Minor Laws, the Straight-Line Journey principle, the One-Lifetime Principle, the Kindergarten Model, and the Principle of Progressive Disclosure.

Scriptural passages used for comparison include:

Deuteronomy 30:19
Micah 6:8
Matthew 7:16–20
Matthew 22:37–40
John 8:31–32
James 1:22
James 3:13–18

Scriptural references are used as supporting witnesses where their principles correspond with the subject under examination. They are not used to substitute assertion for evidence.

Claims concerning matters beyond present human verification remain distinguished from demonstrable observations.

Q&A SECTION

1. If the Eternal Source is ultimately in charge, do humans really have freedom?

Yes, within limits.

Ultimate origin and human agency are not mutually exclusive concepts. DSPES understands freedom as the capacity to choose within an existing Reality, not the power to abolish Reality itself.

2. Does the Great Order control every human decision?

DSPES does not require that conclusion.

The existence of governing order and consequence does not logically require that every human act be predetermined. Meaningful accountability presupposes a meaningful sphere of response.

3. Can an individual create his own truth?

An individual can create beliefs, interpretations, opinions, theories, and personal meanings.

But objective truth requires correspondence with Reality.

Personal ownership of a belief does not establish the truth of the belief.

4. What does “Perfect Balance” mean in DSPES?

It means right relationship and proportion among legitimate principles.

It does not mean equalizing truth with falsehood, love with hatred, or preservation with destruction.

Perfect Balance is coherent order, not numerical neutrality between contradictions.

5. Who is responsible for the straight-line journey?

The presently living human person is responsible for the choices made within his measurable sphere of agency.

DSPES does not transfer this responsibility to hypothetical future personalities.

6. What happens after the straight-line earthly journey ends?

DSPES distinguishes what can presently be examined from what remains beyond complete verification.

It therefore permits continued investigation into questions of soul, spirit, consciousness, identity, and post-mortem existence without pretending that every detail has already been established.

This is the Principle of Progressive Disclosure.

7. What is the practical goal of the journey?

Not domination of Reality.

Not accumulation of impressive terminology.

Not escape into speculative cosmic systems.

The immediate human goal is increasing alignment between one's life and the Seven governing standards:

Truth, Light, Love, Power, Creation, Wisdom, and Life.

CONCLUSION

So, Who is in charge?

The answer depends upon the level being considered.

The human being is not in charge of Reality.

He did not originate existence.

He did not invent causality.

He did not create mortality.

He cannot command Truth to become false or falsehood to become true.

He cannot repeal consequence by declaration.

Yet the human being is not powerless.

He possesses one of the most serious authorities imaginable:

the authority to determine how he will respond to the Reality in which he has been placed.

He can examine.

He can learn.

He can correct.

He can choose.

He can love.

He can restrain power.

He can protect life.

He can pursue wisdom.

He can acknowledge error.

He can walk toward greater alignment.

The road does not belong to him.

The laws do not originate from him.

The entire destination may not yet be visible to him.

But the next step is his responsibility.

That is where human dignity meets human accountability.

And that may be the most important form of authority entrusted to the traveler.

STANDARD CLOSING SENTENCE

Truth is measured, not invented. Reality is discovered, not created by thought. Wisdom is learning to live accordingly.

CALL TO ACTION

Before accepting any claim about human destiny, cosmic evolution, spiritual progression, reincarnation, consciousness, salvation, enlightenment, or ultimate reality, place the claim under examination.

Ask:

Does it correspond with Reality?

Can it survive evidence?

Does it remain internally consistent?

Does it respect the Seven Pillars?

Does it preserve human responsibility?

Does it produce greater clarity—or require greater dependence upon unverifiable assertions?

And above all:

Does the claim survive examination?

SIGNATURE CLOSING PARAGRAPH

May our search for greater knowledge never cause us to abandon the responsibilities already placed before us. We may not yet possess the complete map of existence, but we possess enough light to examine the next step. Let us therefore walk carefully, measure honestly, correct willingly, exercise power responsibly, protect life faithfully, and continue toward the Great Order without pretending that partial human knowledge has already become complete.
